Sharp SH8128U and SH8118U: the first smartphones running OS tapas

Sharp has released the first smartphones running OS Tapas for China. The OS Tapas, like the OPhone OS os China Mobile, is based on Android, and is designed specifically for the Chinese market.

As for the new smartphones, they got the names Sharp SH8128U and SH8118U. Sharp SH8128U is for the mid-range and is equipped with a 3.5-inch screen with WVGA resolution (800×480 pixels), a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, supports W-CDMA/GSM networks, Bluetooth, WLAN, a slot for microSD memory card and Qualcomm MSM7227 processor with a frequency of 600 MHz.
Sharp SH8128U will go on sale in October for $475.

Sharp SH8118U is an entry-level smartphone, although its technical specification are similar to the previous model. The lower price is due to the screen with a smaller diagonal and resolution – 3.2-inch HVGA (480×320 pixels).This device will also be available in october for $355, to say the truth, not much low!
