Samsung is likely to skip Android 4.2.2 update for Galaxy Note 2 & S3

Sources close to Samsung are claiming that this South Korean mobile making giant will update its Galaxy S 3 and Note 2 to Android 4.3 later this year instead of updating to Android 4.2.2. This update will bring the Galaxy S 3 at par with its successor Galaxy S 4 to make the existing owners of Galaxy S 3 feeling as a new phone. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.2 update has never got leaked unlike the Galaxy S 3 which has already been leaked in Android 4.2 update. But it has been rumored that  Samsung plans to update the device with Android 4.2 sometime in the third quarter along with the Galaxy S3. This rumor had left the owners excited as it means it will be updated by September this year. Now a new rumor is saying that Samsung will bypass the update to Android 4.3.

Actually, Samsung is working on both updates for both of these devices. But as no official announcement has arrived it seem that  the updates may have been delayed again, beyond the company’s  given timeline. Now November has been set as the new  target date for the updates, which is close to the time when  we will be expecting a new Nexus and Android 5.0
