Optus To Launch LG Optimus 3D In Australia

It has been announced by Optus that it will soon launch LG Optimus 3D which is its first 3D android Smartphone.  This Smartphone by LG can be purchased at a retail price of $799 and is also available on the Optus $59 Cap Plan for $0 up front.

The LG Optimus 3D runs on Android 2.2, operating system with a dual core processor of 1GHz. It is equipped with 2 cameras of 5 mega pixel at its rear that allows taking photos and videos in 3D. It has a 3D WVGA screen display of 4.3 with a pixel resolution of 480 x 800. The phone comes with an internal memory of 8GB and also has a provision for microSD card slot. The device has multiple connectivity options that include HDMI, Wi-Fi and DLNA. The battery of the phone is 1,500 mAh. There are a number of new features incorporated in the handset.

The phone was first launched in Europe in the month of June. Optus is the only Telco to launch this handset in Australia. Optus has not yet given an actual date for its launch but it had stated that the phone would be made available from its stores somewhere in the middle of July.
