Motorola Milestone XT720 Announced in Europe

Motorola announced it’s flagship Android-smartphone Milestone XT720 for european market. Its design and specifications are almost identical to the model MOTOROI, launched in early 2010 at the South Korean market.

Like the Korean Motoroi, the new handset comes with a 3.7 inch WVGA (480 x 854) multi-touch capacitive display, Wi-Fi, GPS, HDMI port, 3.5mm headset jack, 8MP autofocus camera, HD (720p) video recording, and an 8GB card included in the box.

Unfortunately, the processor of the Milestone XT720 is not faster than the one of Motoroi, as previously rumored – it’s just a 550MHz one.

Milestone XT720′s Dimensions are 60,9 x 116×10,9 mm, weight – 160 g. The new product is designed to support GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA 1700/2100 MHz networks.

The Milestone XT720 runs Android 2.1, but it will probably be updated to Android 2.2 Froyo after launch.

The exact date, when the new device will hit the market, is not known yet, but it’ll most likely happen in the next few months.

According to Motorola’s representative Ralph Gerbershagena, Milestone XT720 is one of the most productive and technically advanced smartphones of the American corporation.
