The Chinese unit of Motorola has announced a new budget smartphone, called ME501.

Motorola ME501 runs Android OS and uses MOTOBLUR interface.In addition, the ME501 is equipped with a 3.1-inch touch screen,5-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash modules, and  GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi/WAPI and a slot for  microSD memory cards.

Motorola ME501 is based on 528-MHz processor and equipped with 256 MB RAM and 512 MB of internal memory. The smartphone supports GSM/EDGE and tri-band WCDMA 3G.
