Microsoft introduced 10 smartphones running WP7

Yesterday during the conference about the smartphones running Windows Phone 7,  Steve Ballmer introduced 10 phones runing WP7. Several of them will be available in Europe from October 21, the other – in the U.S. from the beginning of November. Until the end of the year nine smartphones will appear in 30 countries, and more than 60 operators their be engaged in their spread. Another device (QWERTY-slider HTC 7 Pro with 3.6 “screen) will be available in the U.S. in 2011.

Microsoft promises to provide even more smartphones based on Windows Phone 7 next year, in the meantime customers can choose from the following models (the screen resolution of all devices is 800×480 pixels):

  1. HTC Surround 7 (3,8″ display, USA)
  2. HTC HD7/Schubert (4,3″, worldide)
  3. HTC 7 Trophy / Spark  (3,8″, worldwide)
  4. HTC 7 Mozart (3,7″, Europe)
  5. Dell Venue Pro (4,1″, USA)
  6. Samsung Focus (4”, USA)
  7. Samsung Omnia 7 (4”, “Europe)
  8. LG Optimus 7 (3.8″, worldide)
  9. LG Quantum (3,5″, USA)

The prices of the devices without a contract with the operator are unknown. Steve Ballmer said only that the majority of the smartphones, designed for the U.S. market, would be sold for $200 with a contract.
