Huawei Ascend via Cricket

The U.S. operator Cricket announced its second smartphone running Android. The model is called Huawei Ascend, it goes on sale in mid-October. Like many other Huawei devices, this phone is not expensive, and costs only $149.99  without a contract.

The device runs Android 2.1 and is equipped with a 3.5-inch HVGA touch display with 480×320 pixels resolution.
Huawei Ascend features a 3.2-megapixel camera, wireless Wi-Fi adapter and a slot for microSD memory cards. It is designed for CDMA/EV-DO Rev. A networks.
