HTC Desire HD and Desire Z Announced

HTC announced two new smartphones during its press conference in London – Desire HD and Desire Z. The phones will be sold exclusively via Vodafone. Both devices run Android 2.2 Froyo, support 720p HD video recording and HTC Fast Boot technology, which allows to use some features of the devices befor the OS is installed.

HTC Desire HD is based on SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 1 GHzprocessor, with power saving mode and a new Andreno 205 graphic processor. The phone supports wireless data transmission technology HSPA.

The smartphone is also equipped with an 8-megapixel camera with dual flash, 768 MB of RAM and 1.5 GB of internal memory. There is an HDMI-connector and a slot for microSD cards. The phone features 4.3″ touchscreen with AMOLED-display nad 800×480 pixels resolution.

The second new phone, HTC Desire Z, is an Android-smartphone with a QWERTY-keyboard. It is based on the  MSM7230 800 MHz processor (Qualcomm Scorpion ARMv7). The device captures with a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. The smartphone is equipped with a 3,7″ SLCD with 800×480 pixels resolution.

Both the innovations are made of aluminum and support HTCSense.
