HTC 7 Trophy: QWERTY-smartphone Based on Windows Phone 7

It seems like the Taiwanese manufacturer HTC has decided to add the number 7 in the name of each smartphone, which runs Windows Phone 7.Firstly, they renamed the smartphone HD3 to HD7. And now, it’s rumored that HTC 7 Trophy will be certified during the Global Certification Forum.

The technical specifications of the phone are not available, we only know that the device will support GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA networks.

The first rumors about this phone leaked yet back in 2009. It was known that the Trophy will run Windows Mobile 6.5, will be equipped with a QWERTY-keyboard, 3″ screen with a 640×480 pixels resolution, Qualcomm MSM7227 600 MHz processor, 256 MB of RAM and a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus.

Maybe, HTC has decided to hold the smartphone untill the release of Windows Phone 7 and adapt it for this OS.

Huawei Ideos Announced Officially

Huawei has just officially announced its new phone Ideos, their first smartphone runing Android 2.2. Some live pics of the device are already available, along with an official promotional video.

The Huawei Ideos is not a high end device by any stretch of the imagination, but aims to cater to the low end of the smartphone market, where not many Android-powered offerings have gone before.

Here are the main features of the Ideos:

OS: Android 2.2 and is a “with Google” phone – no custom UI overlays or any such nonsense present, guaranteed updates to new versions of the OS as soon as Google releases them

comes with all the benefits of Android 2.2: storing apps on the microSD card, 3G WiFi hotspot for up to 8 devices, and Adobe Flash support in the browser

2.8″ 240×320 touchscreen
528 MHz processor
HSDPA, WiFi 802.11n, GPS, Bluetooth
3.2 MP autofocus camera, no flash

The Huawei Ideos will be available within a week in some markets, and will cost $100-$200, depending on market. It will be available in four colors: yellow, blue, black and purple.

The smartphone T-Mobile G2, previously known as HTC Vision, was probably the most discussed phone in the past few months.

Vision should be the descendant of the T-Mobile G1, the first smartphone runing Android. Later, it became known that the phone will be available in Europe under the name HTC Desire Z.

Now we have the opportunity to see the official photos of the device. The realease of the new product is scheduled on September 29.

Earlier it was reported that G2 will be equipped with 1-gigahertz processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon AMOLED touch screen with a diagonal of 3.7 inches. Also, the device supports standard HSPA and is equipped with a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, WiFi, aGPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and Android 2.2 Froyo OS.

Motorola MILESTONE 2 is Official

Motorola has officially introduced its MILESTONE 2 in the European market. The phone runs Android 2.2 and is equipped with a MOTOBLUR interface. As the manufacturer claims, the new Milestone has higher speed, more memory, as well as more opportunities for communication, messaging, multimedia and Web surfing by using Adobe Flash Player 10.1, than the the original MILESTONE.

Motorola MILESTONE 2 is a side-slider with a pull-out full-size QWERTY-keyboard, supports HD-video recording (720p) has 8 GB of internal memory and 8 GB memory card in the kit.

The sales of this phone are planned at the end of this year.

Sony Ericsson has announced a new smartphone for Chinese market – Sony Ericsson A8i. The device supports TD-SCDMA networks and runs OMS 2.0 OS ( the camera version of Android OS), which is developed in cooperation with China Mobile.

The manufacturer claims that the phone has a high performance and stylish design.

Another Android smartphone from Motorola leaked in the web. The new phone is the Motorola XT300.

Almost nothing is known about the technical specifications of this device. We can only say that it’s a slider with a full QWERTY keyboard.

The smartphone was initially designed for GSM networks, but it’s possible, that the phone will also support CDMA networks.

The details about the price and the realise date are not known yet.
