i have got the phone for 2 days. It is quite very similar to the N97 but just bigger and a better software. i am quite astonished that reviews don`t even mention that. i am satisfied so far by the phone. the display is bright, the customisations are useful and the voice is clear on phoning. Unfortunately there are not as many supporting programs on the OVI stores. Reviewers often mention the difficulty in sliding out the phone, i disagree with that. you can see the video i posted on youtube, look for `romicom` and judge for yourself.

there is No cable to connect the computer, If cable arranged to connect the PC than no software installed on the phone Ple advise to connect the Samsung Champ to the PC for using internet or transferring the photo etc to the PC or vice versa.

I fail to see any real advantage here. I wish there was a way to make screen typing even remotely accurate or comfortable as the standard QWERTY keyboard. Until then, touch screen only devices will be practically useless for even moderately intensive text entry. I call useless bling on this one.

So I figured I’d comment to see if this helps anyone out there. I had the Epic for 3 weeks before I decided to return it for the G2. They both have their goods and bads but this is the reason that made me turn to the G2. By the way I am a software engineer who travels a lot for fun so keep that in mind while reading.

EPIC Goods
Awesome Camera quality and features
great screen, almost kept me from switching to the G2
Good network (sprint)
Outstanding Keyboard, large and comfortable

EPIC Bads
Horrible battery life, I had to at least charge it twice a day with minimal use, I tried everything (trust me)
CDMA network (this is a sprint problem acutally), you can’t use this phone in Europe at all, actually most of the world that is (except for Japan, Canada and Mexico).
Slow speed, I know it has a 1Ghz processor but its first generation type, look at benchmarks against the second generation chips (even the 800mhz G2 kicks it’s butt).

G2 Goods
Awesome battery life, actually lasts me the entire day, sometimes more with high use!
Fast, just plain fast!
Easier to find accessories for, it is just more common than the EPIC online
Fast network speeds (even faster than sprint’s 4G when tested side by side in a zone where both get 4G)
Smaller to carry
Cheaper plan (you don’t pay the extra 10 bucks a month for 4g, however this was not a deciding factor for me at all).
GSM phones work almost all over the world (except for Japan)
T-Mobile gives you the unlock code! This allows you to use a sim card in other countries and use the phone as a local phone! They do this even when you are still new to T-Mobile!
Better call quality, very noticible.
HTC is far more reliable than Samsung (support wise), look how long it’s taking the Epic to get Froyo! Gingerbread is almost out and the Epic hasn’t even received the Froyo update!

G2 Bads
Camara is horrible only when comapred to the Epic’s
Screen is just OK (also only when compared to the Epic) still above par compared to the rest
Keyboard is not as large or easy to use as the Epic’s

In my personal opinion, the G2 is a far better choice although th Epic looks fancier at first sight due to it’s awesome 4″ screen. But don’t let that fool you.

good review. love my new hd7. easy to use, practical it’s great for web browsing and the touch screen is really responsive. and i love the little vibrate you ge when you push the buttons on the bottom. email wifi and gps is great for my business and all the games are fun. great unlocked cell phones. the facebook on the phone is great and the screen is big enough to navigate around. much better than our old unlocked blackberry phones. the camera is really great and the recorder is easy to use, great for catching family moments!! also got our blackberry unlock codes and cell phone unlocking for free!! got our last 2 at unlockthatphone.com 2 thumbs way up

I am a big forum freak so I mineswell join now while i wait for my preordered Evo. I currently have Palm Pre, which I have a love and hate relationship with lol. 60% of the time its the best phone in the world, the rest i want to smash it against the ground (which I have lol). Currently overclocked at 800mhz and runs pretty good except for tandom freezups.

Looking forward to having a great experience. BTW someone already root the phone.
