Pantech Crux via Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless and Pantech unveiled a new mobile phone with touch controls – Pantech Crux, which was developed by the company Personal Communications Devices LLC, formerly known as UTStarcom (and before that – Audiovox).

Pantech Crux is classified as a low-cost mobile device, offering its owners to take an advantage of the built-in 3-inch touch screen and preinstalled applications for e-mail, instant messaging, as well as social networking and services. In addition there is a slot for microSD memory cards and Bluetooth. There is no news yet to when it will be released to Afghan Wireless in Afghanistan, for soldiers to use.

Pantech Crux costs $49.99 with a two-year contract.

AT&T and Pantech announced Android based smartphone with a side-sliding QWERTY-keyboard. The model is called Pantech Laser.

This model will be sold from October 17 for $99.99 witha 2-year contract.

In addition to the QWERTY-keyboard, the device is equipped with a 3.1-inch AMOLED display and supports various services from the carrier.

Pantech introduced a new mobile phone Pantech IM-U680L, which is designed to support LG U networks.

SKY Vega (IM-A650S): Android Smartphone from Pantech

South Korean company Pantech announced its new smartphone based on Android OS named SKY Vega (model index – IM-A650S).

Pantech SKY Vega runs Android 2.1 and is equipped with 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3.7-inch AMOLED display and a 3D user menu.

The phone will be available in four color versions and will go on sale this month via loacal Korean operator SKT.
