According to the last tweet from Nokia India Indian customers should expect the Nokia E7 to hit the stores starting January 2011.The price of the device in India has not been announced yet, but it should be something around 30,000 INR.

we should remind the technical specs of this phone: full QWERTY keyboard, 4 inch AMOLED ClearBlack touchscreen display (360 x 640 pixels), 8MP fixed-focus camera e.t.c.

Since the E7 has been approved by the FCC not long ago, US customers should also expect to see it in stores (or at least online, at Nokia’s Shop) sometime soon.

Nokia C6-01 is equipped with a 3,2 “AMOLED-display, an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, dual LED flash and video recording at 720p. Those who had a chance to see the Nokia E7-00 ”live” mention the high-quality of the screen, according to them the 4” screen of ClearBlack technology performs really deep black color and can easily compete with Super AMOLED screens.

The QWERTY-keyboard looks reliable and easy to operate. The gap key is in the right place – at the center. The slider opens by pressing the two thumbs at the bottom, which is a bit unusual. The body is made of anodized aluminum.

Thus, formally N8 started selling late in the third quarter (September 30), but most users will be able to buy the device only in the 4 th quarter, which begins on Oct. 1.

The price of the N8 is different for different countries.

I think, there is no need to write about the technical specs of this phone. It has been talked so much, that, I’m sure, you learned the features of this phone by heart. However, if you missed something, read about Nokia N8 specs here.

According to Eldar Murtazin, Nokia is lying. The devices are not ready and that’s why they have been delayed. All inside Nokia know this.

Nokia N8 is the phone, that everyone is waiting for. Why? According to Dial A phone, because ”It’s the first Nseries phone to be released following the N97 Mini in September last year, it will debut Symbian^3 and it will be the first Nseries to use a solely touch-based interface”

However we hope, that the long awaited smartphone will be released soon and we can get it.

Nokia is saying that the pre-orders for the N8 blew their expectations, but that they have been forced to hold back the shipments of the device. In some markets, and that includes the United States, Nokia does confirm that by the end of September they had intended to deliver the N8, but that’s just not going to happen now. Nokia is currently in the processes of making sure that the user experience is the best it can be, and therefore making some final amends to make sure that happens.

Still, at least the delay is only a short one, and hopefully it won’t dampen the enthusiasm towards a phone

Furthermore, it looks like Nokia is set to put the device as their flagship device.. It is equipped with a 4-inch display, QWERTY-keyboard and 8 Mpx camera with dual LED-flash. Although there is short time left till the announcement, it’s not clear yet, which OS will be installed – Symbian^3 or MeeGo.

There’s no word on what other features the device will feature. Nokia is indeed hoping that this will be the device to save them in the smartphone market.

Nokia C1-01 will cost only $ 42. The phone is equipped with color TFT screen with a 128×160 pixels resolution, 3.5-mm audio output, FM-radio, SMS, flashlight and battery, which will work up to 6 weeks in standby mode..

Despite the fact that the C1-01 supports two SIM cards, only one of them can be active. However, switching between SIM cards is quite simple.

Nokia C2 will be more expensive: $54. Both SIMs of the phone can be active at the same time. Phone uses the S40 user interface and supports GPRS, Nokia Life Tools, FM-radio with recording function, 3.5-mm audio output, VGA-camera and a slot for memory MicroSD cards.

It’s rumored that Vodafone and T-Mobile will launch the smartphone running Symbian^3 in September. At the same time the device will be available in other countries.

The UK will be able to get N8 for free, if they choose ant tarif plan with a monthly subscription fee of £30 and above.

We should remind, that the first information on the device appeared a couple of months ago, and the official announcement is supposed to take place at Nokia World in September of this year.

The device is equipped with a 3.5-inch capacitive touch screen and runs Symbian ^ 3.

Among other specifications it is worth to mention the 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, dual LED and Carl Zeiss optics, the microUSB port, 1200 mAh battery, 1-gigahertz Snapdragons processor and 256 MB of RAM.

The approximate price of the new items is 300 euros. The phone will go on sale at the end of October.

So, the Nokia C6-01 has a QWERTY-keyboard, 3.2″ touch screen with a 360×640 pixels resolution, 200 MB of internal memory, MicroSDHC slot, GPS navigation and Wi-Fi.

The desighn of C6 and C6-01 are identical, except for some differences in the design of the back side.

The C6-01 appeared over at Nokia Netherlands’ official website, although it wasn’t announced in a press release or anything like that.

The phone is priced at €279 (the C6-00 should be around €220).

The design of the monoblok will have pointed smooth corners, will be equipped with a 3.5″ display with a resolution of 360×640 pixels (typical for Symbian touchphones).

Among other features are the ARM-processor modules, WLAN and Bluetooth, as well as support of HSDPA networks. The model will feature an 8-megapixel camera.

It is expected that Nokia C7 will be officially announced in autumn of this year.

T-Mobile named the handset “Nokia E73 Mode”, and it will target it at “professionals who are looking to balance all aspects of their busy lives and want to try devices that help optimize their productivity.”

The Nokia E73 looks a lot like Nokia E72 and is equipped with the same QWERTY keypad and QVGA landscape display. Among other features are 3G, Wi-Fi and “customizable Work and Life homescreens.”

According to Engadget the phone will be introduced on June 16. No information on the price and the availibility of the phone in other markets is given.

The second brand by popularity is Samsung – 5.7%. Though Nokia has lost 2.7% of market share during the past 5 years and Samsung added its popularity by 4%.

Nokia phones based on 40 series are the most popular among Finnish customers – 49%. Symbian running smartphones continue the list and have 22% of market share. It is significant that there is only one smartphone among 10 most popular phones of the 3rd quarter – the Nokia E51. And the most popular model is Nokia 2760, released in 2007.

Nokia claims that during this months they had “100s of comments, bags of suggestions for names and over 74,000 votes (74,268 to be precise)”.

Nokia X2 will cost only €85 (about $112). The phone will be available from June.

The biggest feature on the Nokia N8 is its 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash. It features a substantially larger sensor than any ever used in any other Nokia device – even bigger than many found in dedicated cameras.

The Nokia X5 has been designed “for music lovers and young trendsetters”, being the “first Nokia TD-SCDMA Symbian based entertainment device.” It will be available in the second quarter of 2010 in three colors: black, white and red.

The Nokia C5 TD-SCDMA is marketed as a stylish and compact device to access the World Wide Web. The case is made of stainless steel, the keys are as convenient as possible for use and the phone is equipped with plenty of features. This phone is expected during the third quarter of 2010 and will be avaialble in two colors: black and silver.

Not going much into the financial and technical details, I’ll bring over here 5  reasons for Nokia to get at least 51% of Palm’s stock.  Not that I love Nokia: just Nokia’s disappointing presence in the North American market is somehow unacceptable for us, mobile geeks, and world’s most valued brand is really underperforming in th U.S.

So let’s move forward and point out reasons.

1. Price – Can’t get cheaper

As said above, Palm’s actual buyout price can be as low as never before. Currently valued around Half a Billion US dollars is way cheaper than 4 billion or even 2 billion rumored before.   What Nokia gets, besides paying a very cheap price, goes below these lines, but underestimating purchase of a well established company with a significant brand presence in the North American market is a wrong way to go.

2. Patents

Some of you would probably comment on this like – “are you kidding?”. Well, I’m not! Almost every month or week a lawsuit pops up – like Nokia sues Apple, or Apple sues HTC over some patents that sometimes may tie manufactures’ hands. and particularly, yes! I’m talking again about Nokia -  getting whole lot of US authorized patents with Palm’s stock. Not yet a 40% market share, but another brick in the wall definitely.

3. OS and related technologies

Symbian – considered having a much better core than iPhone’s OS and even Android by many, is again underperforming. Well not really! still taking majority of market share but loosing it also pretty fast. I’d agree with those guys who say Symbian’s UI is not really suitable for North American buyers, who got used to iPhone stylish interface and to Android’s superb functionality already. Palm, with its WebOS, tricked us a bit back in good days and now Nokia, if takes the best from WebOS, puts it into Symbian – polishes, adds some Maemo and puts OVI store in line – I’d choose it! Why not? A lot better GPS than Android has, a music store (with some free downloads there), app store an email client also. Way to go!

4. Brand and Recognition

You should  have your eyes wide open already – but again back to US market and Nokia’s brand there. I know that Nokia is world’s 5th most recognized brand and Apple is only 20th, Palm isn’t in the top list, but Nokia is still not that popular in the US. Just think of a device named NOKIA Palm Gorgeous – sounds good, huh? When Palm was in good days – many people saying smartphone, were associating that word with Palm and many still do – I believe, and smartphones are  the weakest point of Nokia nowdays.

5. Channels and Partners

If you were following U.S. auto industry news, you’ll remember what most of the economists considered the main reason of Fiat’s interest in Chrysler – distribution channels. Palm closed almost all it retail stores well before these talks, but contracts with operators , especially Sprint and with more handsets these may go further to T-Mobile, Verizion, etc.. partners in Silicon Valley and more.

Finally, as Forbes’ Darcy Travlos stated back in last years  September Nokia will inherite Palm’s DNA – buzz of Pre, and…

the Silicon Valley data-centric insights on product development and Palm’s development team would be timely and critical.
