Apple’s IPhone Displaced Blackberry For Second Rank

Apple’s iPhone devices succeeded gaining popularity ranking second, along with Android at top position according to a survey of 30,000 mobile phone subscribers at U.S. However, BlackBerry declined by almost five percentage points, dropping down to 25.7% of the Smartphone market whereas Android had 36.4% and Apple’s iPhone positioned at 26% according to the latest report. The Apple’s iPhone had reportedly progressed up to 5% and also a 1.3-percentage-point growth over the earlier report.

According to the report, the Microsoft Windows Phone as well as the Windows Mobile operating systems along with RIM mobile has also declined from its previous position, even if for a smaller base. RIM’s 12% downfall at the U.S. Smartphone market is considered as a major factor as the loss has arrived to the market while the overall Smartphone usage have remarkably progressed by 13% for quarter which ended nearly in April. Although RIM had already discussed up on the slowdown factor in Smartphone market which lead to monetary performance problems in the recent weeks.

Android’s popularity had been also predicted partially as the OS runs on various devices ranging from numerous major phone manufacturing companies, whereas only the Apple and RIM could make iPhone and BlackBerry devices, correspondingly.

Meanwhile, Apple all set to declare its new launch – iOS 5, which promises added improvements over the popular most Smartphone OS.
